Things continue to move along.
They pulled off the lowest plank across the entire length of the back of the house. As suspected, dry rot in the bathroom area.
Here's what used to be our 2nd bedroom / office. We emptied it over the weekend. They pulled up the floor (two sections about 12 feet long by 4 or 5 feet wide). These section are now wrapped in plastic and stored on the north side of the house in the hopes we can reuse them somewhere. The contractor just wanted to demo the room but I guess I reminded him enough that he couldn't say that he forgot. :) They also pulled down the sheet rock on some of the walls and sheet rocked in the doorway to minimize dust intrusion into the house.
Looks like they've completed the framing for the portion of the wall that will rise above the existing roof. Three clerestory windows on the left above the master bedroom and then five on the other side of the house. The decided to put up this section first so that they can get the roof sealed in case of rain.
In these photos you can see that the new addition will extend beyond the existing house.
