Drove home from Santa Cruz this morning. Home by 8:30 AM.
Had the garage "emptied" by 10:00 AM. Garage door installers arrived just as I finished. Two guys and at least 4 hours later it was done and the old door hauled away.
Comcast showed up about 11:00 to install service. Pay close attention: We have DirecTV and we're keeping DirecTV. We pay $60 monthly to Comcast for internet service. From work I was "given" (monthly, permanently) $60 worth of free video from Comcast. Because of that our internet pricing will drop from $60 to $40 monthyl. The Comcast rep also signed us up for 12 months of special pricing for internet. $24 monthly instead of the $40. Took 11 years but those work benefits are finally starting to roll in (hearty laugh).
My 6th general contractor came by today to scope out the house, etc. He a referral from Mariusz so hopefully he'll be cheaper than all the others.

Hubby and I were talking about moving to a different city possibly in southern California. I'm so excited when I think about it. Honestly speaking, I love the place where we live right now. Very quite, the weather is never hot or cold, pleasant people, and lots of public transportation.
Most importantly we are close to all the Asian markets. But, our dilemma is the cost of living here in the Bay Area is little bit more expensive than living in southern California. With all of that said we really have to gather our thoughts together and fix up some of the areas around our house that need to be fixed before we can put the house on the market for sale. One of our concerns is our guest bathroom and kitchen.
Our guest bathroom is too small and the sink too old. I'm thinking about replacing our sink with a new one to make it more appealing for the buyers in the possible near future. Thank God Sears is there to help us every step of the way. Sears has everything you need for your home improvement from carpeting, tile, laminate, Hardwood Floor,granite, ceramic, vinyl, including installation for reasonable price. They really take the job seriously to make their customers satisfied. Call sears for more information and talk to their helpful customer service.
