Drove home from Santa Cruz this morning. Home by 8:30 AM.
Had the garage "emptied" by 10:00 AM. Garage door installers arrived just as I finished. Two guys and at least 4 hours later it was done and the old door hauled away.
Comcast showed up about 11:00 to install service. Pay close attention: We have DirecTV and we're keeping DirecTV. We pay $60 monthly to Comcast for internet service. From work I was "given" (monthly, permanently) $60 worth of free video from Comcast. Because of that our internet pricing will drop from $60 to $40 monthyl. The Comcast rep also signed us up for 12 months of special pricing for internet. $24 monthly instead of the $40. Took 11 years but those work benefits are finally starting to roll in (hearty laugh).
My 6th general contractor came by today to scope out the house, etc. He a referral from Mariusz so hopefully he'll be cheaper than all the others.
