I think almost everyone here love different types of pets cats, dogs, birds even monkeys. I’m a pet lover, specially dogs. When I was living in the Philippines I had a dog named Warlet but I loved to call him Wang Wang for short. Having a dog here in the United States is very different compared to the Philippines. Some dog owners there don’t respect and care for their dogs or give them a special treatment like we do here in United States. They don’t even treat them like a member of the family or even as a friend. We have two cats and a dog.
Three years ago my husband bought a French Bulldog for me. We named her Daisy because we loved here and she is very special for us even though sometimes she’s the trouble maker in the family. When Daisy was a puppy she was very hardheaded dog, she chews everything; our couch, shoes, computer desk even her own crate. But when it comes to my shoes I’m not happy about it and she’s going to be in trouble.

However, there are times that my husband and I have to chase Daisy around the house because she has something in her mouth (napkins, pens, shoes, weeds, etc.). She loves to play that game (that’s what we call it - “GAMES”) but it wasn’t fun for me. I get tired of chasing her all day long. Daisy loves to play with our hands. She thinks our hands are one of her toys. When you say stop, she won’t stop. Instead she just keeps nipping at your hands. The more you say stop or no, the more she loves to play with your hands. How annoying is that? Daisy also loves to chase our two cats, Elvis and Ruby.
Nevertheless, Elvis is a very nice, friendly, sweet guy. He is very independent kind of cat, well behaved. The most interesting thing about Elvis is he doesn’t want to eat the dry cat food if it’s been out for longer than a day. He wants “fresh” food everyday.

On the other hand, Ruby is completely different than Elvis. Ruby is a very unapproachable cat. She decides when she wants to have her chin scratched or her belly rubbed. She loves to stretch her body in a funny way. On her back with all of her paws in the air. She looks very very cute when she does that. Even though she’s different, she’s still our cat. We just accept her the way she is. She’s just being “Ruby”. Given these facts, I realized that we are so blessed to have these animals. We treat them with respect, care for them, and want them to lead a healthy life. They also have a life to live, heart to feel the pain, like we do.
